Guest Spot: Mirror Image Seduction By Tamsin Baker and Khloe Wren

Blurb:
Dylan and Ryan are cheetah shapeshifter twins. They never expected to be the first of their siblings to find their mate. So they weren’t looking when they scented her at their local pub, but they knew instantly that Lacey was destined to be theirs. Unfortunately, she’s a reporter chasing the story behind a mysterious rescue of a young boy by ‘big spotty cats’. Lacey is a debut journalist working her first big story. Getting to the bottom of this ‘wild cats in the Grampians’ story could be the big break she’s been waiting for. The story leads her to a set of gorgeous twins that make her heart race. Their electric chemistry pulls her in, and by the time she learns they’re shapeshifters and the cats responsible for the rescue, she’s torn on how to report it.

But her story isn’t the only thing she has to worry about. Lacey’s ex isn’t ready to let her go, and when he sees her with her new men, he takes drastic measures to get her back.

Excerpt:
The hair on the back of her neck had begun to tingle, and in a rush Lacey grabbed her bag and looked towards the exit. She’d come out to the bar, hoping to ask someone about the mysterious Ryan and Dylan. She hadn’t expected to run into them both here, or to be turning tail and running in the opposite direction as soon as she found what she’d been looking for.
She hunched over, trying to make herself smaller as she snuck out of the booth. She couldn’t resist once last glance at the twins before she left. On a gasp she nearly tripped when she saw both of their intense gazes were on her.
She squeaked and moved faster, her heart pounding against her ribs. She shoved open the door and burst out into the warm night air, gulping oxygen into her burning lungs.
Oh shit. They’d seen her staring at them.
Oh pull yourself together. With how good they looked, it wouldn’t be the first time they’d had someone, especially a woman staring at them.
Just as she stepped from the concrete footpath onto the parking lot, something growled near her ear moments before large hands gripped her hips and twisted her around so she was facing the side wall of the bar. Her handbag landed at her feet, and she raised her palms to push against the brick wall to prevent her face slamming into the solid surface.
“No! Stop! Let me go!” She screamed as the man behind her pinned her body against the rough bricks with his and placed his hands over hers, lacing their fingers together.
Adrenaline was pumping through her system, making her heart pound and sweat bead on her forehead. She should have been fighting, screaming for help, but some perverse instinct inside her craved more. It made her want to push back against the strong body pinning her in place.
“Where you goin’, beautiful?”
His voice was so deep that his words were barely more than a garbled growl, but she somehow understood what he’d said. The hairs on her neck rose once more, in response to the depth of possession that radiated from his tone.
“You’re scaring her, Dylan. Cut it out.”
Lacey panted as she looked toward the new voice. Like his twin, Ryan was gorgeous and sexy, but considerably calmer and more in control.
Unlike her, or the man behind her.
“He’s not … scaring me.”
Strong desire, like she’d never experienced before, raced through her system. Just like what happened in her favorite romance novels, it was instant, electric and all consuming. Fire was in her blood, lighting her up from the inside out, centering in her pussy and taking root there.
Dylan nipped at her ear, and she moaned, letting her eyes slide shut as another, stronger, wave of arousal flowed through her. Her knees began to collapse on her, but before she could fall to the ground, a thick muscular arm whipped around her waist and held her tight against a hard hot body. Dylan’s erection now pressed into the cleft of her ass in a way that made her instinctively arch back into his embrace while whimpering a little.

Tamsin Baker loves everything erotic. Her books can be long, short and everything in between, but they’ll all be fast paced with snappy dialogue and lots of sex. No Tamsin Baker book is the same except there won’t be a lot of angst in as she wants her books to be everything that a fictional world can be- full of happy ever afters, dirty words and sweet love. ‘Love is love’ and she tries to show that in a range of sub genre’s, from m/m contemporary to paranormal ménage. She has a need to shock people and bring up embarrassing topics at the most inappropriate times.

Khloe Wren started writing her first novel in high school, until it mysteriously disappeared from the family computer (her older brother was the lead suspect but nothing was ever proved). She didn’t put pen to paper again after that for a number of years but she did keep reading. Khloe has always loved all things paranormal: sexy vampires and sultry shifters have always been her favourites. So when she picked up writing again, it seemed only natural she would write paranormal romance.Khloe grew up in the Adelaide Hills before her parents moved the family to country South Australia when she was a teen. As a young adult Khloe moved to Melbourne. After a few years she missed the fresh air and space of country living so moved back. Khloe currently lives in the Murraylands, South Australia with her incredibly patient husband and two young daughters. When she’s not sitting at her laptop writing, she’s spending time with family or friends, kicking butt at karate or feeding her addictions of reading, eating chocolate and drinking Coke.

Excerpt:

Nathan smiled at her and placed the file next to the phone. He’d do more than sort that one out. He’d never work with that building company again.

Emily gave him a nod and began to back away. His belly clenched and his breath caught in his throat.

No. Stop!

“Emily, we should talk about Saturday night.”

“No.” She practically fired the word at him, then shook her head and stared at the ground, red highlighting her high cheekbones.

“I mean about Eleanor’s House. I believe I may have over reacted to what you said to everyone.”

She stopped backing away and glanced up, her eyes bright and wary.

Something twisted deep in his chest. He swallowed hard.

“No, I was wrong to push you, Nate. I know I was. Whatever happened… I take responsibility for.”

He shrugged and let his lips lift into a semblance of a smile. He was giving her an apology and an out, and she wasn’t taking it. He liked that.

“Well, let’s forget about it and you can tell me more about your career aspirations over dinner.”

“Oh. No Nate, we shouldn’t. I mean…”

He chuckled and stood up, rounding his desk and heading towards her. He didn’t stop when she gasped and jumped away from him, just kept moving forward, reaching out to shut the door and looked directly at her for the first time.

“Oh, I’m Nate again, am I?”

She softly whacked him on the chest. “Stop it, you know what I mean.”

“No, what do you mean?”

She glared at him, that fire that he so loved about her, returning. “I mean… we can’t go out for dinner again!”

“Why not?”

“Because you’re my client and it would be inappropriate.”

He heaved a sigh and stuck both hands into his trouser pockets. Those same excuses were not going to fly with him now. He’d tasted her lips, held her body through the best night’s sleep he’d had in decades and he missed her. He couldn’t continue like this.

Heart in Chains by Elodie Parkes!

Heart in Chains, Elodie Parkes, Encompass Ink, April 23,
2016 release
MM erotic romance/ suspense
I so enjoyed writing ‘Heart in Chains’. I’d just written, MM
romance, ‘A Forever Kind of Thing’ for an Encompass Ink anthology to be
released later this year and I was still in MM story writing mode.
Connor and Jay my heroes just gelled in my mind immediately
as I considered the kind of adventure Connor might have on vacation in an
exotic place such as Indonesia. Jay is a mysterious character, tough, driven, but
on the verge of changing his dangerous life when he meets Connor. Connor is
still getting over a relationship break up, but it’s been long enough and he’s
tired of being single. His former boyfriend’s betrayal stays with him, but as
soon as he sees Jay, attraction is seeded in his heart.
These two characters are dear to me. Tenderness lies beneath
Jay’s composed and tough exterior and courage lies beneath Connor’s sexual
vulnerability. I think both will surprise you as you read their story.

When Connor Douglas
takes a tropical island holiday, he hopes to leave heartbreak behind. Little
does he know the extent of the danger and sexual temptation that awaits him.
Long after Jay
Levesque has closed down his operations on the very same tropical island, the
memory of Connor haunts him.
Warm nights and
scorching sex has someone’s heart in chains.
Read a teaser:
Darkness was falling as Jay arrived back with another man.
They carried a tray each and the other man carried a stool. The other man left,
but Jay smiled at Connor as he waited by the bed. Jay flipped a switch on the
wall by the door and lit the place. Light streamed downward from the little
white coolie-hat shade.
“Come, let’s eat.” He indicated the chair and sat on the
stool himself.
Connor dragged his chain as he went to the table. He sat and
took the cover off the plate of food. It looked good and the fish was already
cut up, which was great since there was no knife, only a fork by his plate. He
didn’t expect to be hungry, but after tasting the food, he ate almost all of it
before he put down his fork and gave a sigh.
Jay ate slowly. When Connor stopped eating so did he and he
placed his fork on the tray.
“It’s good to see you eat. Kiku, the man who brought the
food with me, is going to bring coffee. Tell me about yourself.”
Connor turned to face Jay. He felt better after eating. “I
don’t get it. Why do you want to know? Why are you being kind?”
Jay frowned. “There’s no need not to be kind. Humor me. Tell
me a little about yourself.”
Connor shrugged. “I’m a marine biologist. I’m on vacation. I
needed something completely different in my life for a time. These islands
seemed like a good idea, far away, warm, beautiful, and …” He stopped talking. What’s the point in this?
Jay pushed his dark hair back from his forehead and folded
his arms. He smiled.
“Far away. From what, Connor? A love affair gone wrong I
think.”
Connor looked down at the remains of his food in confusion.
Did he really want to tell his captor about his heartbreak?
“Not that it’s anything to do with you, but yes … I guess.”
Before Connor could react or even know what was happening,
Jay reached out a hand and slipped it around Connor’s head. He swooped on
Connor’s mouth and kissed him.
The kiss was so unexpected and yet so delicious, Connor
closed his eyes and let it happen. He drifted in the soft merge of Jay’s lips
on his. The lingering pressure and the way Jay brought his other hand up to
caress the back of Connor’s neck was addictive. Connor leaned into the embrace.
His cock hardened. Tingles from the circle of Jay’s fingertips on his neck
spread down his spine and made his ass feel melted. Thoughts left him. The only
thing that mattered right then was the kiss, and he lifted his hands to hold
Jay’s muscled shoulders and kiss him in return.
It was Jay who drew away from the kiss.
Connor leaned back in his chair then, shocked at his
response.
